Fútbol Sin Fronteras
Fútbol Sin Fronteras (FSF) is a creative platform that aims to connect people across the world, using the ball to communicate.

Even when people don't speak the same language, there are few things that can bring them together the way a soccer ball can.
Borders can divide people, and often are a hinderance to the sharing of ideas, culture, and commerce. FSF wants to open up conversations and create opportunities across borders to help those most in need.

The challenge was to create a logo that reflected a love of soccer and a passion for social justice.
I took inspiration from traditional logos like those found in British and Spanish soccer teams, and from a red rose when it’s used as a symbol for social democracy.

I decided to keep the logo simple, so that visually it would be easy to identify quickly.
Once the direction was chosen, I incorporated a traditional soccer ball to the center of the rose.

A simple text lock-up completes the logo, which loosely resembles an official team shield, with a modern twist.
“Build Fields Not Walls” is at the bottom as a call to action, bringing people together instead of dividing them ✊🏽✊🏻✊🏿

Goals for the project in 2020 include organizing a soccer game on the border (literally, with half the field on one side of the border and half the field on the other), and setting up soccer-based donations in Tijuana to benefit migrants as well as the local youth.
